- two (2) of Michal the Girl's songs are on the soundtrack of "Travellers and Magicians", the new film by Khyentse Norbu (Bhutan) to be released in the US under Zeitgeist Films the end of January 2005. In the meantime, the film has been making its way around the world in all kinds of film festivals (i.e. Venice, Toronto, Sao Paulo, Korea, London, etc...) receiving glowing reviews and standing "O's". Lyrics to the song that Michal the Girl wrote specifically for the movie were even quoted in a London review! - "MaryAnn", a co-written song from Michal's now defunct side-project called "Kisser", was licensed as the soundtrack to a commercial for Japan's #1 women's fashion magazine, "Can Cam Magazine". Then Michal the Girl was flown to Japan in January 2004 to be IN the second commercial for "CanCam", again featuring "MaryAnn". That's right: not only was Michal the Girl's song the music in the commercial, but then she was flown to Tokyo to be in the commercial too! How friggin' cool is that?? This commercial has been very popular and now everyone in Japan can sing along to "MaryAnn".
