Rock with a country soul.
Bio / Background
Michael P. Ryan’s music seems to play like a movie; each song brings with it a story of laughter, love and heartache. His “made for arena” style vocals stand strong against the background of his well produced freshman self release “Ride Out”. The music can best be described as country rock music with a passionate soul.
The song “Change Your Mind” features pedal steel legend Buddy Cage (New Riders of the Purple Sage).
Michael P. Ryan has been a Central New York mainstay for many years. On any given Saturday night, Mike can be found either playing acoustic guitar in a pub or playing bass to a packed nightclub. During a brief stint in Detroit, Mike’s passion for songwriting and performing was fueled by the opportunities that big city had to offer. After recording a four song demo, Mike captured the attention of Detroit Red Wing personality Karen Newman who coached Mike for his performance of the Star Spangled Banner at Joe Louis Arena
