The title says it all. The purpose of chanting before meditation is so that one might beocme more interiorized. This work exemplifies that fact. As the listener is absorbed in the lyrics and the quality of the devotion expressed by the music, one is transported inward to the core of one's being - a perfect prelude to deeper meditation.
