Bio / Background

A collection of nine songs for acoustic guitar and voice, ranging from “Ease On It”, about the feeling of

being overwhelmed in modern times, to “Can I Have A Girlfriend?”, Matt’s updated version of an Alsatian

folk song his grandfather taught him.

Matt Schickele is a songwriter, composer and performer living in New York City. He also plays in the M Shanghai String Band (mshanghaistringband.com), and was previously

in Beekeeper, the influential 90s indie rock band.
