Bio / Background

With the release of Alta Products, Maskil has landed with a unique sound that captures the heart of folk while solidly surrounding thoughtful lyrics with groove oriented instrumentation.

It is a sound that captivates the listener and prompts them into asking questions about the content of the songs in relation to their own life.

The acoustic driven sound is complimented beautifully by the southern soulful electric playing of Dan Olson and the solid funk style rhythm section of Ben and Andrew Borley.

This is not just another band singing about love or disappointment, this is music that speaks out of a journey.
