Acoustic songs that pull heart-strings to fast-pace rock, "Moss is doing what he loves and it shows in the music"
Bio / Background
"Perspectives" is my second release as a solo artist. My first was "One Last Day of Denial" also available on CD Baby.
This CD is more polished, I spent a lot of time on the details of this work and I've become much more experienced in the art of song writing and recording. I feel it really shows in the production of "Perspectives."
There are some real rockers on this as well as some ballads that should tug at your heart-strings. I've tackled some very bitter and heart-wrenching experiences head-first along the way while writing these songs and did my best to capture those feelings and experiences in the music and lyrics.
These songs just had to be put down on a CD before I could move on and I'm very proud of the work put into this project by my friends and fellow musicians who helped along the way!
I've got more up my sleeve, some songs already written. The next CD will be a bit sleazier and more rock-oriented. Yeah, I'm still a metal head at heart.

From my Bio:
"My influences growing up were good - sing like you don’t care anyone’s listening!"
As a result, Mark started singing and performing when he was about 8. Music has always been natural to him.
When he was but a wee boy, he briefly played guitar, but quit because "it didn't sound like Kiss." Alas, it was a nylon string.
When it's in your blood, you never quit, so Mark studied music while growing up and somehow never stopped loving the music of a loud electric guitar. His neighbors sometimes ask if it will ever stop... uh... no...
Mark's singing influences have always been singers who "just wail like no tomorrow, with power, with commitment, the best you can. You feel it when a song hits you and stirs up something primal." said Moss in an interview.
Mark joined his first band in high school. As soon as he could drive, he was playing local gigs in a band called "Pressure Point." They were all the same age and "jamming was such a rush, especially playing in front of people." Yep, he was addicted.
He joined his next band in college - "Branded Ace/Wasted Talent/Vexxed (we changed names with different players)." Mostly classic rock with newer heavier music mixed in, the band played at local bars and parties. A lot of "bulking up musically with a great group of guys who all pushed each other to play better and better."
Soon afterwards Mark joined forces with an established band “Whiplash” out of eastern Iowa. They covered the newest songs of the era, wore boots, had long hair (even sported a super sexy mullet - oh yeah) and kicked a lot of ass, very loudly.
Mark keeps busy outside of music too: golfing, fishing, trying-to-stay-active-ing, "...boredom is a lack of imagination and ambition. I mean come on..." says Moss.
Mark's motto is that he "...will never stop performing, feeling or being music. Those who make music can only give back to others, it's for those people that I always give as much energy in a performance that I can."
