Bio / Background
Many people have seen Marcia Ramirez performing as a back-up musician with artists such as Rodney Crowell and Patty Loveless. With the release of her third solo cd "Life Goes On", Marcia is back performing with her own band to rave reviews. Her first solo cd, Compromise was critically acclaimed and Robert K. Oermann called her "An exceptional talent with a totally cool sound." As a songwriter, she has had cuts by artists as diverse as Jo Dee Messina and The Whites.
On her newest cd “Life Goes On”, Marcia Ramirez weaves a revealing tapestry of love, heartache and hope. From the true story of finding her birth parents in “Ticket To Tulsa” to the yearning of finding a way to keep a love alive in “Get It Right” she tells her stories in ways that make us feel she’s writing about all of us.
