Bio / Background
Magic Goat will never be on MTV. They will not have a platinum album, or ever be big in Australia. They will never grace the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine, and never find their name on the UK’s top 40 charts.
Then again Magic Goat never set out to do any of that.
The seven members of Magic Goat came together 2 years ago with a collective love of ska music, and an unwillingness to let others have all the fun of playing it.
Though not afraid of experimentation, Magic Goat’s music tends to revolve around what they think good ska should be; lively, fun music with an upbeat tempo and enough rock n’ roll to keep you on your toes. Listeners will say they are reminiscent of Save Ferris, but they also take their influences from bands ranging from Metallica to the Aquabats, to the Rolling Stones.
