Bio / Background
Welcome to London Street.
These ladies are an amazingly tight and sweet unit. Shani leads from the rear, riding and maintaining a tight, strong groove. Originally from Los Angeles, she has been playing music her entire life. Starting out on clarinet at age seven, she's played a variety of instruments before finding her calling on the drums. Most influenced by old school R&B, and the legendary artist Prince, Shani produces a powerful foundation, which allows London Street to build upon with ease.
When it comes to the bass, Jenn Curiel has a style all her own. Smooth and rhythmic, she never skips a beat. Growing up in Los Angeles, she studied the baritone horn for several years before deciding to switch to the bass guitar. Her musical roots stem from bass legend Verdeen White and his groundbreaking group Earth, Wind and Fire. Similar to Verdeen, Jenn designs unique and distinctive bass lines that compliment the melody.
Lesley Grant brings sweet and sultry vocals to this great ensemble.
