Born and raised in Phila. PA on the planet of Germantown. A product of the neighborhood public school system. Educated on the streets of North Philadelphia. Rooted in real hip hop music.
Since the late 80s inspired by EPMD, and PUBLIC ENEMY,
LO-DOWN writes not only about ways to improve one's situation(Once Upon A Corner, Rock Ya Body, Need Paper?)but, drops potent conscienceness(Big Ass Jungle, Danger Danger, The Dolla Bill)on joints that will not only nod your head till your neck hurts, but also make you think a little. Without being a preacher/teacher, this battle hardened EMCEE has been sharpening his skills since the lunch table.
