Jazzy folk-rock with horns and humor, "...it's energy is undeniable." Christopher Grant Harris
Bio / Background
The songs and sound of LST have been pegged as "riotous," "spontaneous," "sophisticated," "charming" and "zany." One person described the group as a "college jazz band gone awry." The originator of this comment did not know how accurate he really was. At one time all of the band members were in fact performers in the same community college jazz band (Centralia College in Centralia, WA.) They decided to form their own group with little foreknowledge of the exciting turns the band would take. Now they delight audiences from Seattle to San Francisco and as far inland as Bozeman, MT. There is something about the unabashed goofiness and innocence of the band, as well as their undeniably impressive musical talent that simply makes people happy.
