Honkytonk music ain't just for boys to sing and this girl can honk. It's Tonkabilly with some Texas Swing. Traditional country music like it should be done. If you like twin fiddles and a crying steel guitar, you'll like this.

What's a nice girl like this doing in a honkytonk? She's out there playing some kick ass country music! Liz Talley was born to sing traditional country and that's just what you'll get on this debut CD "Road to You". If you like twin fiddles and a steel guitar, you'll like her style. She can swing like a Texan should and get you on your feet with some great Rockabilly. She sings, plays, writes her own songs and she can honk with the best of them!
Some highlights on this CD you'll want to check out include a Texas swing tune called "Texas in Your Swing" written by Liz and veteran songwriter Leona Williams.
↓ more ↓Great stuff! The song is even being used in a barbeque commercial in Texas. The duet between Liz and Billy Yates called "It's Time to Cross That Bridge" is hardcore country at it's best and has been a favorite among the traditionalists. There's even a rockabilly tune to shake things up a bit. Lot's of great country music here you won't want to miss!
Her love for traditional country music began as far back as she can remember listening to mamas radio on the kitchen table. She spent hours after school at the neighbors house learning guitar chords. She taught herself how to play drums & bass listening to such honkytonkers as Johnny Bush, Ray Price & Faron Young. She is no stranger to hard work & it shows through her determination & dedication to carve a name for herself in country music.
Liz is not only a great singer but an excellent drummer and has played drums for Wanda Jackson, Norma Jean, Frenchie Burke, Tommy Cash and Billy Yates. With her upbeat personality and down to earth ways, she is a favorite among event planners & radio personalities.
This project has been a long time coming and a dream come true for this little gal from Texas. No need to worry about the future of country music when you've got singers like Liz Talley. She's the real deal!
