Bio / Background
A Christmas classic for children of all ages, "The Littlest Star: a musical story" features musical performances by country-pop hitmaker Margo Smith, Grammy-nominated jazz guitarist Denny Jiosa, and Nashville Chamber violinist Conni Ellisor.
The CD and accompanying book have been featured in The Tennessean newspaper's Holiday Gift Guide. The song has received awards from the Songwriters Guild of America and J.P. Folks. An eight-song musical play has been developed for holiday performances.
The Littlest Star was left in God's pocket, waiting for his time to shine. Just when he gave up, crying his biggest tears and turning his darket shade of blue, God sent him out on the most important mission in the Universe: to lead the Wisemen to the Christ Child.
The littlest Star single, the centerpiece of the CD, was written by Robert Roberg and Chuck Whiting. Roberg, whose artwork has been spotlighted by the Smithsonian Institution, created a dozen illustrations for the album sleeve.

The artists' stirring performances are presented like a musical play, and the jazz instrumental version may be used as a background music track for school, church and community performances. It's also a good item for fundraising.
