THE THIRD CD IS THE CHARM
Singer Songwriter Linda Storey has released her third CD, accompanied by her daughter Jessica and the Alleluia Blues. The WALL STREET JOURNAL says, "My new favorite CD is "Don't Let It Stop You" by local mother and daughter singers Linda & Jessica Storey and their band the Alleluia Blues". http://www.opinionjournal.com/cc/?id=110007123 Linda's writing is flavored with blues, rock and folk featuring tight vocal harmonies. "Don't Let It Stop You" is the appropriate title for the CD. Linda's passion and career has always been her music since the age of 15. Denver's own, Chuck Morris, spotted her talent and managed her for the first two years of her professional career.
↓ more ↓Influenced by such legends as Bonnie Raitt,Joni Mitchell, John Lee Hooker and the Eagles, she started at the "Hill" in Boulder, Colorado and then toured throughout the Northwest, first performing as a single, playing guitar and singing then switching to bass guitar touring with bands including, "Crystal Ship "and "MoonDance". During this time she learned to rock and was influenced by such bands as, Fleetwood Mac, Heart, the Doobie Brothers and Leonard Skynyrd. Her career was stopped for a while and she dealt with the diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. After reassessing, she restarted her career producing her " Willow Tree" CD in 1998. She began performing again and in 1999 performed at the Fox Theatre in Boulder for the Women from Mars CD release party that featured well-known singer-songwriter's including Sally Taylor (James Taylor's daughter), Wendy Woo and Hazel Miller. Country legend Tommy Overstreet performs with her on one of the songs.

Storey surrounds her daughter Jessica and herself with the "Alleluia Blues, and outstanding mixture of musical talent. Kent Richardson on lead guitar has known Linda since high school. They both aspired to be singer-songwriter's. Kent along with brother Jimmy Richardson on bass and drummer/singer-songwriter Michael Myers formed the band, "King Beat". Bruce Wareing on keys also a singer-songwriter along with Jerry Byers on percussion and slide guitar come from the band, "Yarrow". Philip "Fly" McClard on tenor sax, formerly from the Chris Daniels Band completes the sound that Linda was looking for.
