Bio / Background
Linda Rae has always loved music and has been singing as long as she can remember. Her exposure to Collin Raye and Karen-Taylor Good is what led her to song writing. She makes regular trips to Nashville, taking classes and recording music at Beaird Music Group and Rough Edges Studio.
Linda Rae distills her life experiences into her melodies and lyrics. She evokes words and music that are both generous and genuine. Her stories are revealed in a voice of striking purity.
A theme that has something to do with hope is woven into her music. “Don’t worry ‘bout tomorrow, a little faith is a big deal, and rescue me, I know that you can” are just a few or her song lyric messages.
You have probably noticed some Appalachian Mountain music if you've had time to do some listening. Linda and her husband have been involved in a service organization called Appalachia Service Project (ASP) for about 12 years.
