Red hot blues guitar style....vocals with attitude
Bio / Background
After opening shows for national blues acts in Philadelphia and New York, LeRoy Foster toured the U.S. and Canada with notable blues men Sonny Rhodes, Big Jack Johnson, and Little Frankie Lee.
LeRoy once again tours under his own name, performing and recording both hard hitting and soul soothing original blues, some flavored with a touch of jazz, as well as artfully arranged covers.
LeRoy enjoyed success as an accomplished jazz guitarist and session man in and around Philadelphia in the 70's, lived in Texas briefly in the 80's, became immersed in the blues while in Texas, and has been thrilling crowds ever since.
Jonny Meister, host of The Blues Show on WXPN, called him "Philadelphia's best blues guitarist." Sonny Rhodes said it best... "That boy is 300 pounds of blues with an attitude!"
