Escape to the islands with a this fun filled collection of socca carribean pop rock favorites.
Bio / Background
A blend of musical styles and performance experience has given Lenore Troia a unique place in the entertainment world. Expressing her self with smooth vocals and keyboard versatility, Howard Thompson of the New York Times called her "a mini jewel of an entertainer."
In the Florida Keys Lenore has made a home and a name for herself with her clever and unique brand of island music. The Miami Herald describes her as "Dynamic...with confidence and skill...entertaining people from all over the globe" and the Key West Citizen says Lenore "throws a hell of a party."
People have called her a 'female Jimmy Buffett' and some feel she is a voice for folks who travel from cold and harsh northern winters to the welcoming tropical warmth.
Her re-release is Fishin' You Were Here! where fun and reflection are themes in her writing and selection of material. The title cut is a postcard sing-a-long that's become a theme song for anglers everywhere.
↓ more ↓"Just Like a Millionaire" talks of coping with how much you spent on your last vacation and she also adds her own rendition of Jimmy Buffets "La Vie Dansant." "Suntime" is destined to be a trop-rock classic and really show's off Lenore's keyboard chops.
Another favorite is the opening song "Shout," a calypso rocker that'll get people moving. "Island Blue" is the ultimate heartbreak song where two people from different worlds fall in love on a special island and one has to leave the other to go back to their home on the main land. "All the Lonely Night" is a Latin flavored dance tune with a piano montuna that will get everyone going. "Shame and Scandal" is that old time island classic that reminds us that there have always been dysfunctional families! Running from the rain on many an out door gig led Lenore to do a remake of that long charted sixties classic "Don't Let the Rain Come Down." "Keys Kruisin'" and "On Our Way to Somewhere" are two instrumental tracks that will get you driving down the highway dreaming about that island life!
A mini jewel of an entertainer"
Howard Thompson NEW YORK TIMES NYC, NY
"Dynamic...with confidence and skill...entertaining people from all over the globe with island-y blend of Caribbean and rock music and witty patter....."
June Keith MIAMI HERALD Miami, FL
"A musical powerhouse, Troia plays smoking keyboards, and has the art of writing a pop song down to a science."
Christine Naughton SOLARES HILL Key West, FL
"Throws a hell of a party."
KEY WEST CITIZEN Key West, FL
"I've never heard Lenore sound better, and that's saying volumes. Lenore Troia is probably one of the best singles you may ever hear."
Valerie Ridenour KEY WEST THE NEWSPAPER Key West, FL
"Troia's versatility as a pianist and lyricist is truly a key to her success, but the singer-songwriter who earns her living by touring piano bars is misplaced; her home is the concert stage. Troia not only is an accomplished pianist and singer, she has a strong stage presence and obviously can adapt her repertoire to any performing environment."
Shirley Barnes PROGRESS Charlottesville, VA
"Lenore has been writing songs and singing in Key West since the 90's. She sings of sunsets, of love, and of leaving it all behind to come to our island."
Ginny Haller CELEBRATE Key West, FL
