I stumbled upon this girl and quite fell inlove. The record has a really cool indie vibe with simplistic and warm production, yet manages to maintain a kind of heartfelt outpour that actually sounds/feels genuine.

A pianist and vocalist, first name only Leerone has presence. Not just another piano pop princess, this musician and this recording have depth, warmth, emotion and some sorrow. Her ability to emote through her music reminds me of some of my favorite Celtic artists, among them Kate Rusby, Sinead Lohan and Aine Minogue.
The somber and strikingly simple third track "Intro" will bring to ming Sinead O'Connor without the accent and Saturday Night Live antics. It segues beautifully in to "Help Me", a sad song, a lament, a cry for help.
With a rich and warm folk pop overtone, this recording makes interesting and effective use of electronic embellishments, without sounding over produced or polished to an unrealistic sheen - check out "Barely Here". Instead it has the lo-fi appeal of early Liz Phair ballads, which also made use of the same kinds of embellishments.
The final tracks continue in the same vein.
↓ more ↓They are moving and enchanting, with lilting but strong and sometimes haunting vocals and impressive, but never overdone, musicianship. This disc was initially slated for another reviewer who got in a jam and passed it off to me. Well bad luck for him and happy day for me! This was a great listen and will continue to be so for some time to come.
