Bio / Background
A local phenomenon in Northern Ireland – playing nightly residencies at some of Belfast's hottest venues - and a much loved singer, songwriter and guitarist, the buzz around Lee Rogers' music is so refreshingly natural is it any wonder he has been dubbed ‘Ireland’s best up and coming songwriter’?
With musical influences including Tom Waits, Bruce Springsteen, Sting and James Taylor, Lee Rogers’ brand of blues-laced rock has the distinctive charm of fellow countrymen Van Morrison and Paul Brady while remaining uniquely his own – super slick guitar work combined with heart stopping vocals and an amazing ability to tell stories within his music.
Drawing on his life experiences, Lee creates music that brings a smile to the face yet still retains an edge of grit that sets him apart from his peers. His debut album, ‘Drawing Clocks’, showcases Lee’s talent for painting pictures with music.
