Bio / Background
L. C. is originally from Cleveland, Ohio where his music roots run very deep. His father, a recorded singing artist himself, exposed the children from a young age to a great love and appreciation of music.
L. C. began as a lead singer in the youth choir for the Olivet Baptist Church in Cleveland. He went on to perform at numerous talent shows with his group "The Mystique". He also had performances at the WHK Auditorium and Leo's Club, both in Cleveland.
After arriving in Los Angeles, L. C. was soon working with Frank Wilson, a producer known for his work with acts such as Billy Davis & Marilyn McCoo. He later would record several tunes with H. B. Barnum. A production deal followed with the Wilder Brothers at their recording studio in West Los Angeles.
L. C. worked on several projects with Clarence Avant and his Tabu Productions at the A&M Studios in Hollywood. Soon after, L. C. was signed with USA Records, headed by Danny Jordan and Martin Braude.
