Laya takes children's music to a whole new level in her debut CD "Goofy Silly Crazy Wacky Day." Her original, clever lyrics and music, crisp clear vocals, and beautiful harmonies combine to make this a children's CD unlike any you've ever heard. Each song is unique and richly accompanied by full instrumentation. Genres include Country, Rock and Roll, Blues, and Blue Grass.
"I began performing as a singer/guitarist quite a few years ago and sang in clubs in California and Hawaii. When I married I became a stay-at-home Mom and raised 4 daughters. I sang for schools for a number of years, and began writing my own songs. When I would come into the classrooms, the kids would all yell out, "do the zoo song!" (the first song on the cd). At the time that was my "number 1 most requested song".
