Originally from Boston Ma. and Now kicking back in Sacramento California Mark Scott LaMountain has been playing guitar and singing in pro touring bands since the mid 80's He has played not only across the USA, but also in Jamaica, Firenze Italy and Canada.
Having toured relentlessly in the hard rock bands
Rude Attitude and Dead River, he finds himself at real musical and songwriting peace with the band of his own name. Where he can write and sing about any topic that comes to mind, with a full 180 swing back to the blues.
In this context he has now found the musical nirvana he always searched for and intends to stay deep in his blues style of music forever. But this is not rehashed blues. MSL and this band are redefining the blues for a new millennium.

I get so tired of those IDIOTS out there that are sayin' that this type of track isn't "blues", mostly those from across the Atlantic who wouldn't know the "blues" if it hit 'em cross the head! This is got some of the best 5 and 7 note "blues" scales I've heard in a while! Where do these idiots think rock & pop came from? This! and songs like it! Great job. I love the energy, vox, lyrics, mood, and flavour of this little BLUES-rock ditty. Way to go, now up the charts with ya!

(Rock Me Baby!!!)
This song reminds me of early surf music. Thats ok because I like it. good piano, good guitar, good drums and good bass all playing like professionals who have been together for years. Each complimenting eachother in a way not too many bands can. They play like a good mix of the best music recipes on the market. The whole band and song cooks along like not many can do. This song has an appeal to all that listen. Production and performance were more than adequate. Vocals are excellant and coming from a 40 year vocalist I know vocal styling and this guy has it. the band and the song and all components get an a+

Blew My Mind
From the first guitar string plucked, I new I was going to love this song. Sounds like the Paladins!
I like the vocals, finally a vocal effect that works well with the singers natural tone. I can hear the words clearly, and they are clever.
The guitar tone is fat and heavy, wonder if the player is playing one of those fat jazz boxes?
The performance really could not have been any better.
Top notch and well done.

(Swing me baby)
Good full sound. Kinda crossed between blues, swing and rockabilly. Hooked me in right away. Good tight shuffle beat. Song is produced well. Instruments sound good - all of them. Snare is poppy and crisp. Like the use of backing vocals throughout the track. Riff is a terrific hook and the words in the chorus repeat enough to cram it in your head for the afternoon. Excellent job on this! I liked it very much!

You won't get tired of his one!hideeho wrote on October 28, 2008
This is really a unique mixture of sounds in this cd. From the hard driven piano in "Pump Up This Party" to the haunting "Suburbia", you will not be able to turn it off. I hear everything in this cd from Stevie Ray Vaughn to Stray Cats...No two tracks sound alike. It's going to leave you feeling good.
