Bio / Background
In the summer of 2005, Mary Lafleur approached Campfire Kev after a show at the Lexington Public Library in Kentucky. She said, "I play music for kids, too" They exchanged CDs and, two weeks later, decided to record THE PET PROJECT.
Inspired by the 2006 Collaborative Summer Library Program, "Paws, Claws, Scales and Tales," the CD contains songs about presidential pets, funny farm animals, proper pet care, plush and plastic playmates, save the day dogs, animal rescue, pets in the dewey decimal system, and more!
WINNER: 2006 Parents' Choice "Recommended" Award
WINNER: TWO 2006 Children's Music Web Awards, including Best Recording for Children 5-8, and Best Song (Queen of the House.)
