When growling guitars echo with innocent integrity and your soul is warmed by an Indie-Pop glow, you must be experiencing Kilgore Trout.
Kilgore Trout was formed by NYC singer/songwriter Jeremy Gray, in the dawn of 2000. Enlisting the help of good friend and Bassist Jason Simon, the two created the mold and sound that would be today's KT. Counting the Indie-Rock pioneers "The Pixies" as a key influence, Jeremy and J sought out a voice that could balance Jeremy's edgy vocal attack with a sweet longing harmony. Enter Lead Guitarist Miss Kim Henry (formerly of the Churchill's /Universal). From the first rehearsal in Ghetto Dog Studios back at KT headquarters in Jersey City, NJ, the Kilgore Trout sound held a rare balance of delicacy and angst. Jeremy's emotionally ragged writing style blended perfectly with the bright pop of Kim's vocal harmonies and guitar leads, creating something that is at once both bitter and beautiful.
