"Friends. Life. Answers. Courage. These are themes from Lindy Kerby’s album, Little Miracles, that stand as a direct antithesis of an ever-increasingly skeptical world. The moment I pushed play on my nightstand CD player to listen to Little Miracles for the first time, I was able to escape the demands of my day and once again find peace and hope.
Kerby’s compositions are heartfelt and thoughtful. Liner notes provide meaningful background to these “songs without words.” The beauty of solo piano music is that the composer can set a stage with a setting, then allow the listener the ability to go somewhere with a song and “fill in the blanks.”
Take “Joshua’s Lullaby”. A newborn child, amazed with all the discoveries this world has to offer, finds relaxation through one special song he heard for months before he was even born.
