This folk music is agressive and emotional, very strong, honest lyrics and interesting melodies with uniquely textured-sounding voice. Songs about social and political discrimination, and relationships.
Bio / Background
Kelley has been playing coffee houses in NH for several years, has opened for Holly Near and shared the stage with Rick Derringer. She performed at The Southern Women’s Festival in Georgia and was described by Kris Garnjost of NH Jam Music Magazine as having “a sense of sincerity in her work that makes me think there is great potential here.” Recently Kelley created her own on-site recording studio and record label called “Radical Folks Records” to record both her own music and fellow musicians. Her partner Jen has been singing with her for three years and their shared views on many social and political issues combined with their love of music have fused into a fresh and powerful duo.
Now living in Gilmanton NH in a home they share, Kelley continues to create new music reflecting her life experiences and her evolving perspective on relationships, politics and hope.
