Prepare your mind for a soulful journey of song with this gifted musician and performer, Katie Cavanaugh, as she wraps around you with her distinctive style. Warm and captivating, poignant or edgy, she will always keep you 'leaning in' for more. Her first solo release EVERY LITTLE THING is textured with acoustic strings, haunting harmonies, penny whistle, flavored with a hint of the Emerald Road of her heritage. Her timeless, one-of-a-kind voice and eloquent understated delivery is a style all her own. "It is the evolution process of my music and career that I find so amazing. Taking risks, learning to welcome the 'free fall' of expression and always staying true to the passion of my work is what is at the center of the music I create.

Katie's musical path spans from west L.A.'s famous Troubadour; opening for Merle Haggard at Silverthorn Resort in Shasta Lake, CA; to Sisters Folk Festival, in Sisters, OR where she has been a two-time finalist in the Singer/Songwriter competition. She was awarded "Folk Song of the Year" in 2004 and in 2005 by the Central Oregon Songwriters' Association.
Born and raised in southern California, Katie's world has always been about music. The second oldest in a large Irish Catholic family of nine, music poured out the windows of that house on the hill. Piano, guitar, flute, trumpet and uproarious harmonies were always in the air. "I grew up on the peninsula just south of L.A. It was rolling hills and rattlesnakes. Now there are condos where the hay fields once grew. I guess progress just can't get her fill. Nonetheless, it is a wondeful place to be from," Katie reflects from her rural home in Central Oregon.
With more thatn two decaades of performing coffee houses, festivals and house concerts, Katie's contemporary folk style ebraces her audiences with warm, rich vocals and songs that come straight from the heart, striking the chord of love, life and longing. "The most meaningful element of my music is the connection wtih my audience, exposing my soul that I may draw them in ever deeper."
