Kai Blackwood rolls all of the best elements of Rock/goth/rockabilly/metal & punk into one gigantic sonic snowball of DOOM...
Bio / Background
"I haven't come across that many artists recently that just blew me away not only
musically but by presentation of their work, and image as well.
I think this is a rare gem of a band, and hopefully Kai will be around
for a long time to come!" - Space Junkies Magazine
"kicks you in the guts...
... one to drive fast and blindfolded to...
...busts outta the gate with some vigor." - New Haven Advocate
"fondly evokes the sleazy rebelliousness of 60's drive-in biker movies...
somehow manages to graft a hard edge onto bouncy, midtempo rock." - PLAY Magazine
In the fall of 2001, Kai flew to Toronto and proceeded to lay down eleven tracks for his album "..damned if you don't". He was fortunate to have enlisted the talents of Dale Harrison (drums) and Tim White (bass) of Universal's Headstones -Canadian rock icons.
Upon his return from Canada, Kai received a call from US underground heavyweights, Gargantua Soul, to replace the freshly departed Jason Bozzi (Dry Kill Logic) on guitar.
↓ more ↓While it was Kai's first experience as a side player in a band, he decided to postpone the release of his solo album to take the G Soul gig, knowing full well that the band's relentless touring schedule and the prestige of being part of Gargantua Soul would be an awesome experience, opening up the doors for numerous potential new fans of his own music. And after two years of hard-hitting touring with the band, Kai new it was time to get back to just that - his own music.
In 2004, Kai struck up a licensing deal with Australian independent label, Blow Up Records to license his album "...damned if you don't" along with a new track "Hello Tomorrow" and a video to accompany it. The album is scheduled for it's Australian release in September, 2005...
Kai is backed by the Tokyo Death Squad - Gary Tortora on drums and Duke Gunn on bass.

Another average 90's sound, I liked the drumming and bass playing but other than that???

I did not like this at all. They do not have a good sound and the singer sounds like the guy from Monster Magnet. Why is he singing this crap?
