Beyond the Grave Vol.1 by K626

K626 added a third guitarist, Ricky Neria, who left the band after a few short months. Brent, Dan, Dino, and Brian began perfecting their songs and playing parties around Lake Arrowhead and Crestline, CA. In 1995, Dan left the band and moved to New York to be with his fiancé which left a void in the bass section. Joey Downard, Brian’s brother, jumped at the chance to be in a band though he was a drummer at heart. In the early months of 1996, Dino moved from the mountain area and the band stopped playing. After a short break, the band reformed with Joey Downard on drums, leaving a bass void. Dan Dowell moved back to Crestline with his fiancé and rejoined the band. The quartet marched on recording two different demos and opening for bands like Obituary, a dream come true for front man Brent Wisdom. In July 1997, Brent Wisdom had a close encounter of the God kind and devoted his life to the cause of Christ. He changed some of the theologically questionable lyrics and continued on for a few months. By November due to conflicts of interest in the band, K626 dissolved. In July of 1998, the fire was still burning in the hearts of the band members and they rejoined for a show in their local town during Crestline's Jam Days celebration. The church that Brent was employed with didn't look upon moshing in a positive light and the band dissolved once again. Joey Downard joined with Kill Charlie and continued to play drums. Dan sold his bass rig and plungd into the married life. Brent and Brian continued to play together in a church setting on Sunday mornings. In February of 2005, there were issues of philosophy at Brent’s church of employment and he left. By April of 2005 he began attending and working for his current church in Redlands, CA. The church had a history of supporting hardcore and metal bands in a positive light. The sparks of metal began to rub against Brent’s soul and he contacted Joe, Dan, and Brian about reforming K626. Brian expressed that he was not interested and Joe asked ex-Kill Charlie guitarist, Rich McDonald, to fill the void.. By May of 2005, K626 had their first gig and started making plans for the future. By August, Rich, knowing he could not give as much as was required, stepped down from playing guitar. Brian had the itch to play metal again and could not resist a second offer to rejoin the band. In October of 2005, the old crew was back and running full force. In November, they recorded the EP “Beyond The Grave Vol. 1”. This EP has opened the doors for K626 in many ways and they are currently working on a distribution deal with Vision Metal Records.
