Heartbreak with a country beat sung by Nashville legend John Wesley Ryles, Dana Hunt & Tim Buppert which is a collectors' item
Bio / Background
JOHN WESLEY RYLES is a legend in Country Music for his recordings of "Kay", "Reconsider Me" and over 20 singles on the Country Charts from 1968 to 1988. At present, John is recognized in Nashville as the backup vocalist for every major country singer. His return to solo performances are collectors' treasures for country buffs.
DANA HUNT may be a legend for what might have been. After writing No. 1 smash hits for George Strait called "Check Yes or No" and "Write This Down", she gave up her singing career with no known recordings. Strait fans, as well as her writing fans, would love to hear her voice.
TIM BUPPERT has performed with Trisha Yearwood and can be heard singing in the movie "Finding Nemo". Tim wrote a No. 1 hit for Kevin Sharp called "She's Sure Taking It Well" and a Chart hit for Yankee Grey called "Another Nine Minutes", and has been a mentor to New York country songwriters.

JOSH VOGEL is a lawyer who didn't turn to songwriting until he had developed over 500 units of low income housing in Harlem, The South Bronx and Brooklyn, and had processed another 500 units as attorney for minority developers.
With the tax laws changing in 1984, Josh studied Musical Theatre at The New School , creating a musical "Big Town", based on Josh's adventures in the inner city. When his instructor said his hero should have a girl friend, Josh, who had a wife and three kids, wrote "The Stakes Are Too High", which is on this CD, and "I Flunk Adultery", which Josh recently sang in the movie "51
Birch Street".
Since the Country market was looking for good songs, Josh submitted "Country Blues" and "Going Through the Motions" to Billboard's Country contest, and won awards for both of them. When Margaret Whiting heard "Goin' On Empty" and Carl Perkins heard "Maverick", they encouraged Josh to take his songs to Nashville. There Josh found Danny Bailey, who supervised this recording.
Some of Josh's songs are favorites with New York audiences. "Empty Without You" and "It Matters So Much To Me" were sung by Audrey Lavine at the Songwriters Showcae of the New York Sheet Music Society and in concert at The National Arts Club. "This Is Where I Came In", the first song Josh ever wrote, was sung by Janet Hariton at Danny's Skylight Room, and Josh's lyrics to "Every Boy Should Have a Jewish Mother" have been sung by the composer, Leonard Lehrman, at Carnegie Hall and in different languages all over the world.
