Melodic modern rock with hooks so large you can hang a side of beef on them. Add strong guitar work and powerful vocals with three part harmonies...What's not to like?

***JunkFood has just been voted "Best Local Band" in The Washington Post 2005 Readers Guide, beating out bands like O.A.R., Virginia Coalition, Eddie From Ohio, and Lloyd Dobler Effect among others!***
Do you remember when rock and roll was fun? JunkFood certainly does, serving up big, unapologetic rock tunes with loud guitars and sing-along hooks so huge you could hang a side of beef on them.
JunkFood is a Northern VA based rock band. Their debut album, "NO SPACE", produced by local genius TODD WRIGHT (Excentrics, Getaway Car) and mixed by DREW MAZUREK (Linkin Park, Nothingface) was released in December 2003. Radio-ready songs like "Who's Your Enemy" and "Nevermind" hit right between the eyes while "Better" and "Perfume and Vodka" slow it down a bit without sacrificing credibility.
JunkFood regularly performs for a broad range of fans in a wide range of venues up and down the East coast.
↓ more ↓From rowdy college bars, to summer beach vacationers, to family friendly festival crowds - JunkFood has entertained them all. Although primarily known for original music, JunkFood is not afraid to play your favorite covers from the 80's to today. As their many fans will attest, JunkFood subscribes to the old school tradition that no matter how much you enjoy the cd, you've really got to experience the band live to fully appreciate their talent.
All the members are road-tested and experienced live performers having collectively shared the stage with the likes of FUEL, VERTICAL HORIZON, PAT MCGEE BAND, EVERCLEAR, UNCLE KRACKER, TOAD THE WET SPROCKET, THE PRESIDENTS OF THE USA, and JIMMIE'S CHICKEN SHACK, just to name a few.
Their musical travels have taken them all over the country, playing on stages from New York City to Los Angeles, and from Cleveland to Houston. JunkFood's live show is a high-energy party, making them one of the most sought after bands in the DC/Metro Area. The buzz they have generated has them headlining the major venues in the region.
Since being voted "BEST COVER BAND IN THE DC AREA" by On Tap Magazine in March 2003, JunkFood has performed in front of thousands of fans at high profile events such as HiBall Events Mid-Atlantic Shamrock Festival, Celebrate Fairfax Festival, HiBall Events Blocktoberfest Starboard Stage. In 2005 the band was asked to return to showcase at the Dewey Beach Pop Festival with 60 bands on 7 stages.
JunkFood has been the "Featured Indie Artist of the Week" on XM Radio and rocked the airwaves as multiple songs from "No Space" have played on local radio stations including 96Rock in DE, Z104 and DC101 in DC, and the legendary 99.1 WHFS in Baltimore.
