2006 Western Music Association Female Vocalist of the year, Juni Fisher takes us from a wild match race at a county fair track, to the banks of the Brazos, and on a heartbreaking search for a missing horse, in her salute to Cowgirls, "Cowgirlography".
Bio / Background
Ever since Juni Fisher hit the Western Scene, she has been winning audiences over with a distinctive style that's all her own. No wonder the Academy of Western Artists awarded her the 2005 Female Vocalist of the Year, and the Western Music Association awarded her their 2005 Crescendo Award, and 2006 Female Vocalist of the Year.
From the Monterey Cowboy Festival on coast of California to the Riverbend Festival on the shores of the Tennessee River, the message is loud and clear...great songwriting prevails. Doesn't hurt that Juni Fisher is one heck of a performer, too.
Her third offering of Western themed music is "Cowgirlography". It's a rollicking trip through the cheap backstretch of a county fair racetrack, a precision ride through the work pens with a lady vaquero, a horse lost, and horse found, a young wrangler's dying wish with an eerie reward, and love found for a lonely widowed California rancher and a lively Arizona widow.
