With his debut CD "Emergence" alto Saxophonist Julian Meyers bursts onto the scene and your system with a style all his own, that shows some of his many musical influences from Jazz to film scores.
Bio / Background
With the release of his debut CD, "Emergence", saxophonist/composer Julian Meyers is inviting listeners to move to the next level of his jazz odyssey.
After more than 10 years as a sideman and leader of several successful jazz ensembles, Meyers is ready to broaden his following.
Meyers pays tribute to jazz greats such as the late Joe Henderson, on "Emergence" with an original composition entitled, "Farewell to Joe," and also shows his own jazz voice with five other original compositions on the CD.
"Emergence" features other prominent musicians such as: Bob Cunningham, Ed Stoute, Antonio Jacobs, a.k.a. Black Lieder, John Dooley, Kenny Austin, Walter "Baby Sweets" Perkins, Weldon Irvine, and bassist Thomas Ware Gooding (the even more talented brother of Cuba).
