Bio / Background

Judy Lewis has been described by the international press as, “a rare phenomenon”, and “no clone of anybody else”.

Her last album, “No Expectations” (VIR 2004) was ranked #6 in the Critic’s Choice Top Ten Jazz Albums of the Year in Jazztimes.

On this, her 5th release, Judy Lewis introduces the world to 18 year old blind guitar virtuoso Orr Didi with 9 original tracks of cutting edge progressive jazz music and a stunning cover of the REM classic, “Everbody Hurts”.

Each with their own distinctive and eclectic style, Judy and Orr create a uniquely new sound in the duo genre, one that creates layers of interweaving melodies and completely exploits the possibilities of this exciting combination of instruments.
