Singer/songwriter/producer,J Rice, is a fresh new face to the R&B/pop scene. Many have compared his vocal acrobatics to Boyz II Men, Brian Mcknight, Usher, Jagged Edge, Rascal Flatts, 112, and musiq.
Bio / Background
J Rice is an up-and-coming singer/writer/producer/arranger/engineer. He is a true artist, who really just loves making music for the world to hear. His debut album titled "The Intro" is a glimpse of what he can do on a bare-bones budget, recording at his own personal studio. J takes time with each song he works on. There are NO fillers on this CD. Every track has a message, whether it be about a loved one you've lost(another tear), to a song that just makes u wanna get up and dance(show me), or something telling you to never give up on Love(love athlete); There is a track for everyone and maybe every track for some one. Some of the best compliments J Rice has received is that a person played the cd from start to finish without skipping a track. Most Cd's nowadays have 13-19 tracks, but you skip at least 8 of them (on a GREAT CD) leaving you with around 5 or 6 songs you listen to. Well, here's 10...Enjoy

I don't see how the person above could possibly deny J Rice and his talent. He has a video on www.youtube.com that proves that he's the man behind the voice and the piano as well. This album is the reason i've followed his tracks all over the web. This is his first album and it's a breakthrough for an unknown, unsigned artist in my own opinion. My favorite song is Another Tear and with the exception of tracks 2 and 3, I love the rest of the album without a doubt. Look for his 2nd album...it's 10 times stronger than this one, but you simply must own both.
