Bio / Background
The j. pyramid is the latest power rock outfit to emerge from the great state of Ohio. Focused on battling the injustices of religion and politics, the band utilizes a unique blend of metal, punk, & electronica as a backdrop to their honest, but sometimes controversial message.
An early formation of what would become the j. pyramid appeared in late 1999 when John Templeman (guitars & vocals) and George Cowdrey (drums & programming), both formerly of the pop/rock unit Xing, began writing and recording the style of music they always envisioned playing. However, the group did not officially come to life until the 2002 release of its debut e.p. "tradition kills intelligence".
