Bio / Background
The Jons -- Bio
Loved in their hometown of Tucson for their zany stage antics and catchy songs, the Jons are ready to take the world by storm with the release of their upcoming album The Jons’ Greatest Hits Pt. 2.
The five childhood friends from Nogales showed a knack for strong musicianship and work ethic early on in their music careers with the formation of MLTB (More Luck Than Buck) in 1996. Even then, the later Jons performed steadily in the United States and Mexico, opening up for local favorites like Scared of Chaka and international acts alike.
After a short hiatus, in 2001 MLTB added Ricardo, an unknown to the band, and was reformed in Tucson as the Jons, quickly forging ahead in their music careers by starting work on their first album with Jim Waters (Sonic Youth, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion) at Waterworks West Recording.
