Jonny Blu is currently living in between Hong Kong, Taipei, Shanghai and Los Angeles pursuing a completely unprecedented approach to the world music scene. He not only sings in Mandarin (and English), but he writes his own lyrics (in Chinese) and co-produces his music (with well-known US producer Myke Aaron). Jonny says that his thought process for writing his songs begins and ends thinking only in Chinese (not by translating). His style is a mix of R&B, electronica, and western pop, blended with a Mandarin pop feel. In 2004 Jonny appeared as himself in the Disney blockbuster movie "Princess Diaries 2: A Royal Engagement" and he received an RIAA Certified Gold Record in the USA for his song on the soundtrack.
