Bio / Background

From the cozy stages of the clubs to the roaring crowds of arenas, Jonni Lightfoot is doing it all. He has performed in sold out soccer stadiums in Mexico, in record full arenas in Asia, and recently to 175,000 people in Cuba. Jonni gives bass playing a new look where there seems to be nothing new under the sun.

When Jonni joined Air Supply he had already started recording his second CD, "Pendulum". "Pendulum" was a break through CD for Jonni. He found his new sound, using the bass as a lead instrument in a band with two bass players. Jonni has always loved being a more up front bass player but when he would solo the low end would drop out of the song. Jonni found that he really missed that, so he hired a bass player to do just that...play bass, which allowed him more freedom to explore my instrument over the music.
