~3/4 of Jon's schedule is spent Touring and ministering throughout the World; with over 100 performances in 2006 including leading worship at churches, conferences, schools, and retreats.

~Jon is the part-time Worship Arts Associate at St. Albert Alliance Church - (www.staalliance.org). Previous to this Jon was the Worship Leader/Worship Director at Spruce Grove Alliance Church (www.sgac.net) from June 1995 until June 2005.

~One of Canada's top 3 World Vision Artist Associates Jon continues to be a part of seeing hundreds of children sponsored at his concerts/events.

~Graduated from North American Baptist College (now Taylor University) in Edmonton, AB and then went on to graduate from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies and Bachelor of Education.

Worship is far more than a song – it's a lifestyle. A life of worship allows others to see Jesus in all that you do – in your work, in your words and in your world. This passionate message is at the heart of Jon Bauer, school teacher, worship pastor and recording artist.

Jon strives to present real life moments as acts of worship unto the Lord. These life experiences are where Jon has received inspiration for the songs on his debut album entitled Life of Worship which was released in February 2005.

Growing up Jon was given many opportunities to pursue music and later discovered that the discipline of lessons had created a strong foundation for a music ministry. Looking back Jon recalls, "It is so ironic how God can turn something that you once saw as a chore and turn it into one of your greatest passions in life." Through the encouragement of his family, Jon joined a worship team at his church. Within a year he was leading his own team and his heart was opened to a new passion. It was at this time that he began teaching himself guitar and was soon leading numerous events such as youth camps, retreat weekends, conferences, and worship sessions. Doors continued to open during Jon's Bible school and university years as Jon became the worship coordinator for Campus Crusade for Christ worship events.

It was also at a Campus Crusade event that Jon met his wife. Andrea, whose heart for reaching people with the love of Christ is a constant encouragement to him. During their dating years they traveled with Youth with a Mission to Hawaii, Malaysia and Thailand. During their time overseas they developed a global perspective on spreading the message of Christ's hope and love to a lost and hurting world. It was shortly after arriving home from their missions experience, that Jon wrote many of his popular worship songs. Jon and Andrea look eagerly to their next missions opportunity in serving abroad.

Jon has always maintained a heart for his home church. He was a worship leader at Spruce Grove Alliance Church in Alberta, Canada for 10 years and is currently part time Worship and Arts Associate at the St. Albert Alliance Church in Alberta, Canada. His great passion to stir the hearts of the young and the old and lead them in worship is welcomed by all congregations. As Jon says, "My greatest desire and constant prayer is that when I get up to lead or when I simply live out my life, that people don't see me at all but rather the light and breath of Jesus which will draw them closer to His side."

Jon's worship songs have materialized into a vibrant modern worship CD entitled Life of Worship. The album was nominated for Best Praise and Worship Album of 2005. Jon was also nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year at the 27th CGMA – Covenant Awards. In 2006, Jon's song "Promise" received nomination for Song of the Year at the 28th CGMA - Covenant Awards. More recently, Jon received the 2007 Shai Award for New Artist of the Year.

One of Jon's debut singles entitled Life of Worship was inspired by Psalm 113:3 and captures the heart of his worship ministry "May my life be my worship, my life be my song; may I praise you my Savior all the day long. From the sun in its rising to the night when it falls, may my life be my worship, my life be my song".
