Bio / Background
John is a musician and songwriter from Northern California. He has playing music for audiences throughout the US and Europe for the past 14 years. "Vertizontal" is his latest release and his fifth album. It is also his most aggressive and powerful album to date.
According to John, "This is the rock worship album I have always wanted to make--crank-it-up-and-throw-your-hands-in-the-air worship music. This is the kind of music I love to play live. This is a rock and roll offering."
If you read the liner notes on the album, it gives you a good peek into John's headspace and what was going on during the two years of writing he did for this album. He started writing some of these songs during the recording of the "Mystery" album (his last release, 2001). About the lyrical content John says, "Over the last one to two years, I have learned more about contentment, pride, honesty, dealing with anger, hurt, frustration, bitterness and surrender than I have in the last ten years.
