Bio / Background
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan where his natural and amazing singing talent was discovered at the tender age of 5, JMac! began cultivating his sound in the local church choir. As his musical abilities developed, JMac! studied Music Education at Virginia Union University and then at Howard University in Washington, DC.
"JMac!"s vocal ability has afforded him the opportunity to sing on venues that featured such Gospel Artists as Ron Kenoly, Smokie Norful, Darius Brooks, Evelyn Turrentine-Agee, and Dr. Bobby Jones. Although he loves singing, JMac!, continued to enhance his production skills by learning from established artists such as V. Michael McKay and Jeffrey LaValley. His production ventures have varied, working with local independent artists such as the Jubilee Majestic Choir on their recording where he is also noted as the featured vocalist on the track entitled, "Sanctify Me," and co-producing the project "Confident.
