Bio / Background
Texas Guitarist Jim Shannon has gained the attention of the music community through his mastery of the Guitar and his reflective approach to music. Jim attended the University of North Texas, and was a member of the renowned 1:00 Lab Band under Leon Breeden. His work in jazz clubs paid his way through college and was a major factor in his musical development. Finding himself in such a fertile musical environment he was forced to learn fast and to this extent was largely self taught by experience and surroundings.
