Bio / Background

Straight Ahead is Smooth Jazz featuring some of Jim's best playing!

Track 3 "Watching You Smile" received an honorable mention in the 1999 BILLBOARD SONG CONTEST for being in the top 500 songs out of over 10,000 songs.

Most of the cd features the L5 Guitar some songs feature the nylon string.

Jim is an award winning guitarist from the central VA area.

He has received 9 awards in jazz and instrumental in V.O.C.A.L. Song Contest and also won 2nd place in the 1999 BILLBOARD SONG CONTEST in the Jazz category.

His influences include Wes Montgomery, George Benson, & Larry Carlton just to name a few.
