Bio / Background
Emerging from the spectrum of a dynamic individuality comes Jennifer Hope, an American, solo recording Artist. Her music can be described as a varied and original mixture of musical landscapes that create an ambiance of Ethereal music. Her unique sounds of expression also intertwine elements of the Adult Alternative genre. The result has invoked an interest in a wide and diversified audience.
Hope has released two EP length CD's, "Reflections of an Enchanted Soul," and "Winds of Tomorrow," both on her independent record label, Mystic Dreams Music. Both works were co-arranged and co-produced by Tommy Reeves and Jennifer Hope. Reeves, has performed with and/or arranged for Chaka Khan, Melissa Etheridge, James Ingram, Randy Travis, Jullian Lennon, Mac Davis, Betty Buckly, Louis Price, Dick Clark Productions, NBC Productions, and the hit songwriting team of Billy Steinburg and Tom Kelly, writers of "Like a Virgin" and "True Colors".
↓ more ↓The release of Jennifer Hope's EP's began and continues to build a collage of US and European musical outlet opportunities. Soon following the release of Jennifer's first EP, "Winds of Tomorrow," Cleopatra Records included her evocative track, "The Sky is Blushing," on their Unquiet Grave compilation of Ethereal, Gothic and Dark Wave artists. The international distribution of the compilation lead to much varied exposure.
Mystic Dreams Music obtained distribution through several independent representatives such as Audioglobe, Middle Pillar Presents, and Fossil Dungeon. Radio show airplay also began for Hope that ventured throughout the US and into twelve European countries. In addition, Jennifer's songs were spun and continue to be heard in US and European clubs. Throughout this expansion, music critiques and journalists have reviewed both EP's in print magazines and webzines. Many are intrigued by what they hear in Jennifer's voice and music alike.
Following the release of Hope's second EP, Reflections of an Enchanted Soul," Hope contributed to Cleopatra Records, "Gothic Tribute to the Cocteau Twins," with her extraordinary version of "Seekers who are Lovers". Cleopatra also released her exclusive track, "Dream Within A Dream", which appears on "A Gothic Tribute to Edgar Allan Poe".
Most recently Jennifer recorded, "No More Words," for the POW record label in Italy to be included on their compilation of 80's cover songs. The compilation, "80 Skeletons in the Closet," is due for release Novemebr, 2005. She also contributed to Cleopatra Records, "Acoustic Tribute to GodSmack" with her dreamy version of, "Moon Baby", which was released October 2004. In addition, Jennifer put a new twist on her version of Nine Inch Nails', "Terrible Lie," also for Cleopatra Records. The "Acoustic Tribute to NIN," was released May, 2005.
From the varied experiences and discoveries of her musical past to her visions for the future, Hope continues bringing life to her music. Her creations are a universal invitation to self-knowledge, discovery and growth. She offers listeners an awareness to experience music on an emotional level and escape in thought and fantasies to go beyond the limits of everyday life. To Jennifer Hope, "freedom to travel through my entire being and bring the results of this exploration to the surface is of utmost importance to me and my music which will always be apart of me".
