Mazzy Star meets Black Sabbath and channels the Beatles at a PJ Harvey show. These are hit songs and need to be heard.
Bio / Background
In the fall of 1993, Jen Beast and the Burdens started out in the small town of Woodstock, NY as a band called Beast. Formed by singer/songwriter Jennifer Meller with the unlikely rhythm section of Bonham-esque drummer Joe Bones and punk bass player Jason Rappise. Beast was an instant local phenomenon...
After losing their drummer, Jenn and Jason moved down to the "Big Apple." Now homeless but ever hopeful, they stayed with friends and plastered New York City. Another brutal New York winter was upon them. Just before Christmas, broke and discouraged, they suddenly exited west off the Thruway and didn't look back. Four days later they hit Sunset Boulevard and soon after Beast was becoming a favorite in the LA club scene.
When a falling out lead to Jason moving back to New York, Jenn continued playing gigs on her own.
At last she met Joe Fulginitti, who had just gotten off tour and moved to LA only a month before.

Then, in a characteristically spontaneous manner, Jason suddenly appeared on Jenn's doorstep. Jenn said, "I found our drummer" and God said, "Let there be band." When Jenn married the band she became Jenn Beast and Beast became Jenn Beast and the Burdens.
