Guitar and harmonica player singing his blues-based urban-folk (with a few country edges); thoughtful lyrics offered in an evocative, smokey voice.
Bio / Background
"It's an almost even mix of jazzy blues and country - a mix that only Gatemouth Brown and Willie Nelson seem able to pull off. Until now, that is. Bisch does a fine job of mixing the two... music fans, those interested in true quality songs and performances, will like it just fine.

"...rather than merely mirroring current trends in the music business, Jeff Bisch has absorbed the influences of time-tested songwriters such as Springsteen, Waits, Croce and Chapin into his material. With a weather-beaten voice that seems destined to deliver late-night-in-a-bar torch songs, Bisch sings of the burdens of every day life, of families, of fires that destroy homes, relationships that aren't quite ready to die and more. "There's a whole lotta livin' packed into that voice. And the man can write. This is earthy music.
↓ more ↓Sawdust on the floor, taste of whiskey and cigarettes, cowboy hats, and August moon. One of my favorite tracks is "The Obvious Blues," which takes every sorry event you've ever heard in a blues song and packs it into one twangy track...Overall, an enjoyable CD, and one that country fans in particular will gobble right up.

"Jeff's songs were ALL first-rate, especially [Daddy Swing Me Higher]; very moving in the same way as Joni's Circle Game, and yes it made me cry."
"Jeff's voice has such an authenticity to it, and his blues playing on a subtle yet insightful song like "Obvious Blues" is pure delight...another title, "Crucifix" was very moving..."
.""...[one of the] highlights for me was getting to hear someone as authentic-sounding as Jeff sing in that low drawl..."
