Bio / Background

Informal Moronic is the new full-length album from Jack Ruby. The trio's reggae-injected rock combines three-minute song forms loaded with staggering twists and billboard-sized choruses that rise from a bed of sonic r&b.

Jack Ruby was formed in Minneapolis by singer/guitarist Nicholson Kenney and bassist Paul Berg. In 2004, along with drummer Mike Hinton, the group recorded the follow-up to 2003's six-song debut, Jack Ruby:EP.

With award-winning producer Kent Peterson at the helm, Informal Moronic has captured the sonic intensity of the band's live performance and showcased their strongest material to date.

Rooted in genre combining rock influences like the Clash, Elvis Costello, and the Police, Jack Ruby's originality shines through in the intense yet simple arrangements and ambitious songwriting.
