Singer-Songwriter performs acoustic guitar driven rock, folk, r&b and country.
Bio / Background
Jack McMahon continues to delight with his highly evolved songcraft and talents, both as a great vocalist and solid guitar player. This collection of songs follows on the promise of his previous release "Toe The Line". It fulfills his quest to delight the listener while covering an even broader musical territory, including everything from funk to folk. Jack has led a long and industrious career from his early teenage endeavors with New Jersey band "Night Watch" to his days as a solo artist recording for Columbia Records and performing around NYC in the 70's. Since moving to the Northwest and settling in Portland OR, Jack has been a perennial favorite on the scene there, performing with his back up band and hosting a monthly songwriters circle. "The Oregonian" calls him a "Portland musical legend" and "Willamette Week" says, "His throaty vocals and folk-rock melodies are a sweet antidote.
