Guitar driven indie pop
Bio / Background
Paper Moon was formed in 2000 by member of B'ehl, The Bonaduces and The Electrosonics. Blending a talent for pop songwriting and intelligent lyrics with the ability to create songs ranging from atmospheric ballads to upbeat rock songs, Paper Moon revolves around the engaging vocals of singer Allison Shevernoha. In 2001, the group released their debut record "One Thousand Reasons to Stay ... One Reason to Leave" on endearing records in North America and Quince Records in Japan. After a number of Canadian tours and festival appearances, the group is now composed of Allison, Chris Hiebert and Rob Rodgers.
Formed in 1993, the leslies are often considered one of Sweden's best guitar-driven indiepop bands. In their decade long existence, the group has released singles, EPs, compilation tracks and three full-length records on labels from around the world. Evoking comparisons from Eggstone to the Smiths to Crowded House, the leslies create music which is skillfully melodic and timeless.
↓ more ↓Their last album, the 2001 self-titled release, displays the group's gift for writing pristine and shimmering pop songs. "Brave Ones" and "Slightest Idea" are unreleased songs from this period while "In A Matter of Speaking" is a new song written specifically for this EP.
